Growing up in Sitka, I was raised with a passion for fishing and hunting. At just 15 years old, I landed my first job on a commercial boat, quickly followed by deck handing on a charter fishing boat. By the time I turned 18, I was already running the family troller and crabber for commercial fishing. At 19, I obtained my merchant mariners course and achieved a 100-ton near coastal license. My entire life I've been an avid hunter and fisherman, exploring the coastline from Portland to Kodiak.
