If you plan to hunt or fish - YES! Required licenses and tags should be purchased from Alaska Department of Fish and Game and is entirely your responsibility.
Non resident hunting license currently $160, tags are $300 each deer. You may choose to do this online, but allow enough time for your locking tags to come via mail. You may also get your license/tags/stamps in Sitka at Orions Sporting goods, but check their hours and compare to your flight times.

You will fly into Sitka via Alaska Airlines. We recommend that you consider flying in on the day before, as weather delays can prevent flights at times. We suggest staying at the Westmark Hotel if you choose to do this, as they offer a free shuttle.
