Non-guided blacktail hunting across 16.7 million acres of the Tongass National Forest, with the M/V Desperado as your basecamp.
Nestled in the heart of the Tongass National Forest, we offer some of the best blacktail deer hunting anywhere. Against a backdrop of 16.7 million acres of pristine wilderness, Sitka is the perfect setting for your next adventure. The deer population is thriving, and hunting runs August 1st through December 31st, with prime rut from mid-October through mid-December.
These trips are built for hunters who want the thrill of the hunt and the comfort of the M/V Desperado at the end of the day. This is a non-guided hunt — we provide transport only, so you rely on your own skills and expertise. Our skiff takes you to and from the beach at your convenience, so you're free to work the best country you can find.
Whole-boat booking: this is a booking for the entire boat for your party alone. We do not run mixed groups, and we never combine hunting and fishing parties — the vessel is yours and your crew's.
Lodging aboard the M/V Desperado included. Season: Aug 1 – Dec 31.
Each hunt is a 6-day / 5-night trip. Reserve your week below — the whole boat is yours.
